Description
In 1960, Petronilo’s Father, Gumercindo Martinez inherited a plot of land in Hoja Blanca, Cuilco, Huehuetenango, this was the start of a great journey of high-quality coffees. From 1969 to 1973 Petronilo became the first President of the first Small Producers Coop in Cuilco. As his coffee knowledge grew Mr Petronilo acquired more farms and that led to the need for a wet mill and a drying patio. Today he produces one of the finest coffees in the region of Cuilco. In the past years Finca El Amate has competed on COE 2021 and One of a Kind Guatemala Edition.
El Amate y Anexos is a Guatemala Cup of Excellence Award Winner.
